Adobe Premiere Elements 2 0 Video Editing DVD

5 stars (This product is a must-buy offer for video editing) - I've used this product for video editing of my recent errand to Nanital. I gave stunning results and I was amazed with its ease of usability. It also includes a very comprehensive help. In summary it is another accomplishment for ADOBE. 4 stars (Premiere Elements 2.0 is a Qualified Success!) - Premiere Elements 2.0 is pretty good and easy to use. While Pinnacle Studio 9 is a bit easier to use, Premiere 2.0 does seem much more reliable that Studio. The good is that you can output both Windows and Mac in addition to DVD format video, whereas with the Apple packages, such as iMovie or even Final Cut Express you're limited to Quicktime and non-Windows formats. Editing was relatively easy, yet still has a small learning curve; the should scale the items on the screen a bit better but if you have good eyes (and I don't!) you can find just about everything at your finger tips. About the only complaint I have is that the output quality is not as good as Final Cut Express. For some reason the resulting DVD image I created was less resolution than the original/source video which was a VOB file of an old 8mm Wedding film. Not sure why that happened but it did. Also the helptext gets an average rating from me. While some information is right there, easy to get at, other stuff isn't in the help or is worded a bit too obscure. Titling is about the only thing that Pinnacle does better. Premiere's is okay, but many of the checkboxes seem to work backwards. For example the "Start off Screen" for a rolling title caused the title to start on screen and roll off screen, whereas Start On Screen had the opposite affect. So trial and error comes into play. All in all, if you're a Windows User, I would recommend it, if you're a Mac user (I use both) I would use iMovie which normally comes with your Mac or iLife package. 5 stars (Good to buy as single, best with Photoshop Elements combination) - Thanks to Adobe for giving ...

Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus - Video Editing Software

5 stars (Excellent - as long as you have a reasonably recent PC) - I've been using Pinnacle for a couple years. This software is outstanding. Extremely powerful, yet reasonably intuitive to use. After learning a few basics, you're off and running to create powerful effects -- from corporate videos to very cool home videos. Good points: - Imports video nicely from dv camera - Breaks video up into scenes automatically for you - Easy drag, drop, cut, etc. to get just what you want into the timeline - Easy to modify the volume on the soundtrack and to add a music track and/or voiceover - Very powerful transitions -- the cool things you insert between segments of the video to make people say "wow, cool, how'd you do that"... you just drop them between scenes in your timeline and it does the rest - Preview without rendering time - If you want to dig deeper, you can -- title tools, transition effects can be highly customized, panning photos, etc. Drawbacks: - It's not a super high end product at this price -- there's only a couple audio tracks for instance. - I've had trouble with it on older hardware (more than a couple years). When you have hardware conflicts, it is terrible. It seems to randomly freeze and hang your machine, you lose your work, etc. It's awful. That probably accounts for most of the negative reviews. However, if your hardware will run it you will love this and be a great video editor in no time. 4 stars (Nice product. Off and running in a matter of minutes) - I purchsed Studio Version 9.3.9. Had no problems installing or running on my Dell Desktop or Laptop. Found program easy to use, importing video worked great (wish preview window defaulted to slightly larger size), Moving and trimming clips was easy, splitting clips was easy after viewing help file. Pinnacle Studio 9 Media Suite - Video Editing Software Suite

5 stars (Great Home Editing Software) - Media Suite is a great sowtware combo! It's includes four discs and two manuals Pinnacle Suite: You can do just about anything a home editor needs to do using this suite. (I would not recomend it porfessionally) The green screen effect is good but hard to perfect it so you cant tell there was a differant color there first. All the effects are great. You get large variety of them in this pack. Though there are still houndreds of dollars wirth of eother effect, songs, special effects, etc. That you have to buy seprantly. The controls are very compliated it took me about two weeks of playnig around with the program until i felt truly comfortable using it. Steinberg Wavelab: This program has a very small amount of features but what it does have is complicated. Your can record audio as long as you like and then add aprox. 3 effects choosing from a list of 20. It very easy to take out or add in parts of audio (edit) Corel Photobook: Have have only used this ounce but from what ican see see you can do simple edits on pictures. The tools are much like those of the microsoft programs. Pinnacle Instant Copy, Pinnacle DVD Recorder: I have used neither of these. 1 stars (Software HodgePodge that never works as advertised) - If you want to spend time creating videos this is not the product for you. There is a reason that they are on Version 9, 8 previous poor products and counting. Installation crashes are normal and product support people know nothing about the product. Every upgrade (you pay for) introduces new problems or takes away previous capability and applying their patches are risky at best. Pinnacle Systems Studio 9 - Video Editing

1 stars (MOST FRUSTRATING AND TIME CONSUMING PROGRAM EVER INVENTED!!!) - I have been editing video since 1998, and have tried every Video editing product under the sun,,and I really enjoy making short movies, of family outings, weddings, etc...But using this software, is a nightmare!!! My blood pressure goes up everytime I use it. I can be in the middle of editing an important clip, and crash, I get bumped off and loose all of my hard work!!!! I start to think they do this on purpose... because when I call them up, they tell me, "gee:... I have never heard of this happening", in their lying voices, but from what I can see, numerous events like mine are reported here. It is a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, and they would have to pay ME to use it!!! In fact, they are coming out with Version 10 in October, in a few weeks, so that is why all the Pinnacle 9 products are on sale. They are trying to get rid of them, so they can introduce into the market, another nail biting, anxiety producing program, that will only stifle ones creativity they had before they use this PINNACLE.....I shall call it,, THE PINNACLE OF SHAME. I GIVE PINNACLE and their method of buying transitions, and activation codes, plus their customer support a (-10) NEGATIVE 10, taken to the 10th power!!!!! THEY WOULD BE LUCKY IF I GAVE THEM ONE POINT OF A STAR! Adobe Premiere Elements Video Editing

5 stars (Extremely userfriendly) - I have no experience of video editing before purchasing this program, and I must say that this program is very easy to use. I have a laptop with a Centrino P1500-M with 512 MB RAM and 60GB harddisk, and this is very sufficient. The program functions very well and smoothly. It was very easy to capture video from my Canon Elura 85, and the setup in the program itself makes everything very easy to work with. I've made 4 DVDs in a couple of days, with transitions, menus, added music, end credits, and such. I highly recommend this program to anybody who is interested in using a home version of video editing. 5 stars (Great all-in-one product) - I have had Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 for a few weeks now, and I am very happy with it. It does everything I would want to turn my home video into DVDs: Capture the video directly from my camcorder, edit the video, author the DVD, and finally burn the DVD. I found working with it very easy. It came with an introduction DVD. After watching it (about 1/2 hour in length I think), I was ready to make my first DVD. Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 only works with a firewire cable. My camcorder supports both USB and firewire, and other video applications work fine over USB, but Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 requires you to use a firewire cable. It won't let you burn dual-layer (8GB) DVDs. Only 4.7GB DVDs can be burned. It also won't burn VCDs or SVCDs. However, you can output your video to MPEG, QuickTime, or Windows Media and burn it in another program. The DVD menus you can create are somewhat limited. You cannot do all the cool things you see in commercial DVDs. However, for home video, Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 does what you need: Simple menus with "Play All" and "Select Scene" options.
